About BASE Platform

The #BASE (Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler) platform, introduced by NPCI, facilitates Aadhaar seeding and de-seeding for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in a self-service mode. It allows citizens to digitally manage their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, including seeding, de-seeding, and transferring Aadhaar linkage within or between banks.

Key Features of BASE

• Fresh Seeding: Link your Aadhaar to a bank account for the first time.
• Within the Same Bank: Shift your Aadhaar linkage from one account to another within the same bank.
• Movement to Another Bank: Transfer your Aadhaar linkage from one bank to another.
• Aadhaar De-Seeding: Remove your Aadhaar linkage from a bank account.
• Check Aadhaar Mapping Status: See if your Aadhaar is linked to a bank account.
• Check Aadhaar Mapping History: View past Aadhaar linkage records.

How to Use the BASE Platform

1. Visit the official NPCI website.
2. Click on the “Consumer” tab.
3. Select “Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE)”.
